Neshamah danced before she walked, g ently bouncing to the sound of music which was always flowing in her home. As a child, she studied tap, jazz, and ballet and played with any artistic medium she could get her hands on. She became involved in cheerleading in high school, which spoke to her longing for dance and performance, but it was her college education in health and group fitness which truly taught her how to feel the music.

Honoring her neshamah, which means deep self, led her back to dance. Entranced by the women she saw belly dancing, she threw herself into study, longing for the presence, heart, integrity, and spirit that appeared to be unleashed within each of them.

Neshamah uses dance not only for playful fun, but to meditate and connect with aspects of her spirit that otherwise remain locked away. She is also a Reiki Master/Teacher, a student of astrology, and a numerologist practicing in combination with the Kabbalah Tree of Life.

Neshamah joined Naya’s Trance at a young stage in her studies, and will continue balancing being a student and a teacher, not only in dance, but in every aspect of her life.
