Ghazia's journey in the world of bellydance began in 2010. What started as an extra credit project for her degree in anthology and archaeology, soon lead to a passion for the art of bellydance. She fell in love with the dance's celebration of femininity and sisterhood.
Ghazia studied Arabic bellydance for several years in Bridgewater, MA under notable dancer Amar Gamal. After a hiatus from dance during graduate school, Ghazia spent three years studying and performing Egyptian bellydance on Cape Cod, MA with Troupe Mirage Cape Cod.
Her journey through life and dance lead her to Maine, where she joined Naya's Trance in 2018.
